The problem
Thousands of inbound emails a day were being read, sorted and answered by hand. Response times were slow, and the useful data inside each email never made it into the system without someone copying it over.
What I built
An autonomous inbox. Email arrives through AWS SES, a NestJS service parses and routes it, and a reasoning layer on OpenAI and Claude 3.5 Sonnet works out what the email is about, pulls out the structured data and writes the reply.
The data goes straight into the CRM and the reply goes back out through SES. No one has to touch it.
The result
Responses got 50% faster, and more than 10,000 emails a day are now processed and extracted automatically. It’s a working example of LLMs running a real business workflow end to end, in production.
